At Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Scientist to lead our nursing research activities. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and disseminating nursing research initiatives that drive quality care and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement evidence-based practice initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to identify research priorities and develop research proposals
- Conduct research studies and analyze data to inform nursing practice and improve patient care
- Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and educational programs
- Provide consultation and support to nursing staff on research design, methodology, and analysis
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in nursing, one of which must be in nursing
- Doctoral degree in medical field
- Five years clinical nursing experience
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification within 1 year
- Experience in research design, methodology, and analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
