Transportation Monitor

South Burlington School District is seeking a Transportation Monitor to assist in providing safe transportation of assigned students to and from designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist assigned student(s) with entering and exiting the school district vehicle and while commuting.
- Operate lifts for wheelchairs.
- Secure special equipment and school-related materials that may accompany the student.
- Be alert to any conditions in the land and unloading area that present a danger to students and others.
- Facilitate good student conduct while enroute and follow District protocols for discipline.
- Report any concerns or issues to the Supervisor and/or Administrator in a timely manner.
- Communicate in an appropriate fashion with students, parents, and employees.
- Assist the driver, as needed.
- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or a General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
- Two or more years' experience working with school aged children is desired.
- Current Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid Certification is required.
