Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MRI Clinical Research Scientist to join our team at Philips. Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Guide, conduct, and support research and advanced clinical applications for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) product line at luminary sites in North America.
  • Customer Relations: Manage important customer research relations and clinical research.
  • Technical Expertise: Be the expert MRI specialist on an assigned technical or clinical application area, build a network in the scientific community, and report and advise about new insights and technologies within the Business Unit MR.
  • Clinical Co-Creation: Drive clinical co-creation projects at designated sites to generate transfers of ideas, research prototypes, solutions, and IP for product development and generate evidence to support claims through scientific publications.
  • Training and Education: Be hands-on, be able to independently run the Philips MR scanners and perform volunteer and patient scanning, and guide the users on Philips scanner capabilities and development tools.
  • Industry Representation: Increase visibility of Philips MR program through lectures and presentation at scientific or professional international conferences as well as involvement in professional organizations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist larger organization in clinical evaluation reports, white papers, and materials to support new product introductions.
  • Training and Development: Support dedicated training courses on research tools and clinical capabilities.
  • Sales Support: Provide guidance in the sales process to luminary customers through broad MR and clinical expertise.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with multiple teams in the market and the global Business Unit, including Global clinical science, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Legal, Sales, and Global leaders across the company.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of a Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience post-Ph.D. focused on MR Physics and System Programming, with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) highly desired.
  • Technical Skills: Technical proficiency in MRI and clinical imaging, detailed experience in development and advanced applications in a clinical setting for MR Imaging systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills, an independent problem solver, with strong analytical and experimental skills, proven experience interacting with customers, market colleagues, and other internal stakeholders.
