Job Overview

NORTHERN HASEROT, recognized as the premier independent food-service distributor in the Midwest since 1878, is looking for a dedicated 2nd Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor.


Schedule: Monday through Friday, starting at 3:00 PM.

Position Summary
The primary role of this position is to support the management and leadership of the warehouse team during the 2nd shift. The supervisor will share responsibilities with fellow supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of 12-20 unionized employees.
  • Utilize the company’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) for labor and inventory management.
  • Ensure the timely execution of the picking process.
  • Supervise order fulfillment and the daily cross-docking of products.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards across three temperature zones: dry, cooler, and freezer.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure product availability.
  • Assist with the delivery driver check-in process and manage returns.
  • Exemplify adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Engage hands-on with the team to meet operational deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse distribution, preferably with perishable goods.
  • Proficient in Office 365, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • General understanding of:
    • Warehouse Management Systems
    • Inventory Control
    • Shipping and Receiving
    • Leadership and interpersonal skills in a diverse work environment
    • Hiring, training, and personnel management
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
    • Working with urgency and a results-oriented mindset
