Position Overview: We are looking for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee the safe and compliant operation of our pharmacy. This role involves performing the duties of a licensed pharmacist within a healthcare setting, ensuring the safety and security of medications, and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage pharmacy operations and personnel.
  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Guide pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks.
  • Provide information to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications, including interactions and side effects.
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures and ensure the security of controlled substances.
  • Document patient information and manage pharmacy inventory.
  • Assess medications for identity, purity, and strength.
  • Train interns and other healthcare staff on pharmacy-related matters.
  • Engage with patients as necessary.
  • Participate in both traditional and online training programs.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree (BS Pharm).
  • Active State Pharmacist License.

  • Ability to quickly learn departmental structures and policies.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective supervisory skills, including training and conflict resolution.
  • Mathematical proficiency for calculating dosages and managing inventory.

  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities to solve complex problems.
