Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance and Repair Specialist to support our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will perform routine interior and exterior maintenance duties, including carpentry, painting, equipment and facility repairs, electrical, appliance repair, plumbing and HVAC systems maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client maintenance requests and execute performance of those requests in a timely manner
  • Perform inspections of all offices, buildings, and common areas, including interior and exterior building systems and grounds
  • Complete necessary paperwork associated with preventative maintenance schedules and routine repairs
  • Maintain tools and maintenance equipment
  • Perform electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs
  • Carpentry repairs that may include installation of doors, subfloors, countertops, installing shelves, and basic hardware
  • Monitor life safety systems' performance
  • Assist in maintenance of the client's furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed
  • Perform maintenance work at different locations as required
  • Communicate building issues and facilities needs to the client and account manager
  • Available to respond to emergency calls when on-call after-hours

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2-3 years of related general facilities maintenance experience preferred
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, unassisted
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, push, pull, and twist the majority of the day
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, cordless tools, and strong knowledge of hardware
  • Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and roofing systems
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Compensation is based on skills and experience.
