About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA). As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
  • Use technical knowledge to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
  • Respond promptly to machine downtime events and work with a sense of urgency to resolve issues.
  • Complete in-house training programs to develop equipment-specific maintenance skills and attend external training as required.
  • Follow all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Basic tools (PCA will provide specialized tools and an annual tool allowance).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree and/or comparable experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
