Tact Staff is seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Infusion for an exciting opportunity.
Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Infusion

- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
Department: Chemo/Infusion | RN
Essential Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Unit Details: The unit is equipped with 10 chemotherapy chairs and 6 infusion/Iron chairs, catering to an average of 30-35 iron infusions and 12-19 chemotherapy infusions daily.
Nurse-Patient Ratios: 6 RNs are present on each shift, with 4 required to be chemotherapy certified. RNs typically manage 6 patients throughout their shift.
Common Patient Conditions: Cancer, rheumatology, immune diseases, hydration, chronic kidney disease, among others.
Experience Required: At least 1 year of chemotherapy infusion experience, including IV starts and central line management.
Job Responsibilities: Duties include IV starts, central line access and dressing changes, infusions, and therapeutic phlebotomy. Lab draws may also be required.
Charge Nurse Role: The Charge Nurse takes a full assignment while overseeing the unit.
Support Staff: Patient care technicians assist with intake, vital signs, and phlebotomy tasks.
EMR System: AllScripts
Shift Scheduling: 10-hour shifts from 8 AM to 6:30 PM, with self-scheduling options available.
Scrub Color: Royal Blue
Orientation: General facility orientation followed by 2 weeks with an educator/preceptor, along with ongoing education on new medications and procedures.
