About the Role

This position serves as a Rehabilitation Casework Technician for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program located in the Goldsboro VR Office. The successful candidate will assist two VR Rehabilitation Counselors in covering the school caseloads consisting of 6 public high schools and 1 specialty school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselors in determining eligibility and developing services.
  • Documenting casework and provision of services.
  • Assisting counselors in providing quality and timely services.
  • Pre-eting with consumers, vendors, and community resources.
  • Assisting counselors in managing budget and ensuring goals are met; and effectively completing all related administrative tasks.
  • Operation of computer, printer, copy machine, calculator and telephone are all essential for the performance of this position.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
