Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
As a Salesforce Solutions Engineer, you will:
1. Collaborate with a diverse team of Salesforce experts, promoting a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.
2. Contribute to the strategic direction and vision of the Salesforce team, engaging in the planning and execution of future improvements.
3. Design, develop, and deploy Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
4. Work alongside Salesforce Administrators to assess business needs and convert them into technical specifications.
5. Utilize Salesforce development tools to create tailored solutions that enhance and optimize Salesforce functionalities such as objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers.
6. Provide support and develop Salesforce solutions for university-wide initiatives, collaborating with various Salesforce teams.
7. Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration of Salesforce with other institutional systems and external applications.
8. Create automations to assist the administration team in data migration tasks, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Salesforce platform, ensuring smooth operations.
10. Collaborate with the administration team to enhance the performance of the Salesforce platform.
11. Support the implementation of security best practices within the Salesforce environment, ensuring secure code development and maintenance.
12. Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain high-quality code standards.
13. Engage in quality assurance processes, including testing and validation of developed solutions.
14. Maintain organized documentation of system configurations, development processes, and user interactions, contributing to a comprehensive team knowledge base.
15. Commit to continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of five years in a related role.

Preferred Skills:
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certification or willingness to obtain it within the initial months of employment.
- Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying improvements.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and innovative culture.
