Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing plant maintenance activities, assisting with equipment installation, and maintaining the cleanliness of the maintenance area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in performing plant maintenance activities, including routine inspections and repairs.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Pick up parts from vendors as required, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work with outside contractors as necessary, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Assist in plant production as needed, supporting the manufacturing process and ensuring efficient operations.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience in an industrial production plant, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Forklift experience, with the ability to operate safely and efficiently.
- Scissor lift experience, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Welding experience, with the ability to perform high-quality welds and repairs.
- Electrical experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Process engineering experience is a plus, with a strong understanding of industrial processes and systems.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically fit, with the ability to work in a production environment that requires prolonged standing, stooping, and working in hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, with the ability to maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
- Must be able to climb ladders, stairways, and work in elevated areas, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Must have a current driver's license with no major violations in the past three years.
