Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Regional Director to lead the performance of assigned automotive parts stores in the Rapid City, South Dakota market.

About the Role

This key position is responsible for driving sales, ensuring high levels of customer service, and achieving employee development goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing retail/wholesale environments with multiple employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive working environment that fosters exceptional service and drives sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, store managers, and associates to drive business results.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities to achieve sales targets and ensure efficient store operations.
  • Support store managers with recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of new employees.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees to improve performance and address any issues.
  • Monitor job performance, motivate, and commit employees through regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of store operation results, including sales data and expense control.
  • Maintain audit controls to protect the company from unnecessary risk and exposure.
  • Establish and maintain proper expense controls to stay within budget and explain any significant variances.
  • E nsure safety, health, and security policies are practiced and in place.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing in a retail/wholesale environment with at least 10 employees leading and directing the work of others.
  • Ability to develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software, including Microsoft Suite.
  • Significant travel in the region required, with occasional visits to the corporate office.
Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Associate degree in general business, marketing, finance, or sales, along with 5 years of experience in the auto parts business and store operations.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
