Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Runner for part-time employment at Colonial Downs Race Track. This role will support the concessions department by setting up and stocking stands before and during events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and stocking all concession stands and portable locations, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to company standards of inventory control, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all concession stands by removing all trash and recyclables.
  • Rotate food products during the stocking process to ensure the freshest products are being served to guests.
  • Perform general upkeep of the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, organizing storage areas, and cleaning commissary dishes.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of foodservice or hospitality experience; similar venue experience is a plus.
  • Food service certification.
Working Conditions

This role involves extensive standing and walking, with routine activities requiring the ability to reach, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have good vision, including the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, and close vision.

The employee will be exposed to weather and non-weather-related cold temperatures, areas with low levels of CO exposure, wet and slippery floors, extreme hot surfaces, pinch points, and tight working spaces throughout the building. The employee will also be exposed to high noise levels.
