Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality pre-operative care to patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations and procedures, obtaining vital signs, and administering medication under the supervision of a clinician or RN.

Responsibilities
  • Direct patients to exam/treatment areas and prepare them for examinations and procedures
  • Obtain records and reports vital signs and other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinician
  • Administer medication, perform patient tests, and instruct patients on procedural preparations under supervision
  • Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of new refills as ordered by the clinician
  • Collect, label, and transport specimens to appropriate destinations
  • Maintain and clean exam/treatment areas and medical equipment
  • Maintain logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of supplies
  • Perform telephone screening and additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program
  • Active, unrestricted LVN license from the state of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (American Heart Association)
  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification or receive at time of hire
  • Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification or receive at time of hire
  • I.V. and Blood withdraw certified
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN
  • Bilingual, Spanish
