Custodian - Second Shift

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at the County of Blair. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain meeting rooms, offices, public areas, and bathrooms
- Remove recyclables and trash, and maintain supplies in paper and soap dispensers
- Dust, mop, sanitize, scrub, and sweep surfaces, and vacuum, shampoo, strip, wax, and buff floors
- Wash ceilings, walls, windows, and replace light bulbs and batteries
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, and respond to off-hours calls
- Load and unload deliveries, distribute deliveries, and run errands
- Sort mail and perform other administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Availability to work extended shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- At least one year of experience in custodial or janitorial work
- Attention to detail, customer service, diligence, initiative, and pride in work done well
- Ability to sustain physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

- Starting wage of $16.81/hour, with opportunity for overtime and hourly rate increases
- 12 annual paid holidays and other time-off provisions
