Chemical Dependency Counselor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our Behavioral Health Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with addiction.

• Conduct professional assessments, social histories, and evaluations to determine the best course of treatment.
• Practice from a trauma-informed, holistic perspective, focusing on client strengths and resiliency.
• Assess risk and safety, working with clients and their teams to minimize these risks.
• Identify environmental factors impacting families and connect them with community resources.
• Empower, engage, and build relationships with clients and their families.
• Intervene effectively in stressful and crisis situations.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Develop comprehensive annual assessments.
• Offer crisis intervention consultation when necessary.
• Work independently and collaboratively as a positive team member.
• Complete documentation, including treatment plans, assessments, and service authorizations.
• Demonstrate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internet familiarity.
