Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Specialist to join our team in the Army National Guard. As a Paralegal Specialist, you will provide legal and administrative support in areas like family law, international law, contract law, defense legal services, and judicial legal services.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. In this role, you will assist judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal documents in courts-martial and other military justice matters
- Provide assistance in legal affairs, such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
- Helpful Skills:
- Ability to supervise those in a command
- Provide technical guidance to subordinates
- Maintain law/administrative library
- Monitor and review actions for accuracy

Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Meet military enlistment requirements in the Army National Guard
- Be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Meet citizenship requirements
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is around $40,000 per year, depending on location and experience. However, non-prior service candidates may earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
