This role is part of Youth Guidance's efforts to scale social-emotional learning circles and improve student outcomes.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum Consultant to join our team. This individual will work collaboratively with our Manager of Curriculum Design, Director of Professional Development, National Implementation Manager, Evolve Evaluation Manager, and design consultants to support the implementation of the Evolve project.

The successful candidate will have experience in SEL curriculum development or program implementation, as well as proficiency in using a Learning Management System (LMS). A background in education, human services, youth development, or social work is also essential.

This position requires excellent analytical and organizational skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-facilitate the implementation of the Evolve Training Academy, providing ongoing training and coaching to Evolve Circle leaders.
  • Assist in adapting the Evolve curriculum, ensuring it aligns with best practices in social-emotional learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion, positive youth development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-informed interventions.
  • Collaborate with the program team to iterate curriculum design as needed, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Support school staff in tracking and monitoring student data, while also performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, human services, or counseling.
  • 3-5 years of experience in education, human services, youth development, or social service field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in SEL curriculum development or program implementation.
  • Experience working in and with schools and school staff, particularly in middle or high school settings.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment, with local and national travel required (approximately 20% of the time).
