Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of injuries and disease.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Image Quality Control: Review images for proper identification and quality control, ensuring accurate diagnoses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Customer Service: Manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and treat people with respect.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
  • Certification: ARRT-registered or board eligible, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification or license preferred.
  • Language: Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Work Environment
  • Standing: Standing regularly throughout the shift.
  • Lifting: Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Exposure: Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes, such as those used to develop x-ray film.
