Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at a Public Health Clinic in San Bernardino County. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and education on dental health and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides patient education on the principles of dental health and disease prevention.
  • Takes and processes patient X-rays.
  • Assists the dentist at chairside with the delivery of instruments and preparation of dental materials.
  • Participates in the promotion and integration of dental health services within the primary care setting.
  • Collects and monitors data on patients accessing the health center program services.
  • Provides patient counseling on preventive dental care and nutrition related to dental health.
  • Engages in operatory and instrument infection control activities.
  • Assists in the development of culturally competent dental health program materials.
  • Schedules patients for new and return appointments.
  • Assists with initial oral health screenings and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a current license as a Registered Dental Assistant by the State of California Board of Dental Examiners.
  • Certification in Coronal Polishing and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • One year of experience performing clinical dental assistant duties.
  • Verifiable past employment references.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
