The Phlebotomy Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the collection and processing of medical specimens. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process medical specimens according to established procedures
- Label and store specimens in a secure and organized manner
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing
- Maintain accurate records and reports of specimen collection and processing
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in phlebotomy or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
