Position Overview

DHT Employee Leasing Company LLC is seeking seasonal transport operators for our facility. The In-Plant Transport Specialist will be responsible for the movement of agricultural products within the plant premises. This role requires maintaining a professional demeanor while efficiently transferring materials from trucks to designated areas.

The position involves 12-hour shifts, with preference given to candidates who can work overnight shifts (7pm-7am).

Immediate openings available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols for the transportation of materials
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure all mechanical and safety equipment is operational
  • Gather and confirm delivery instructions from relevant sources
  • Examine loads to ensure secure transport
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance, complying with state and federal regulations
  • Position trucks for loading or unloading, following crew signals
  • Operate equipment to unload materials as required
  • Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety violations to management
  • Verify all load-related documentation for accuracy
  • Connect or disconnect trailers as necessary

*Drivers remain on plant grounds during their shifts*

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL A License
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Availability to work on holidays
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 3-5 days/nights per week
  • *Experience with manual transmission vehicles is required*

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience
  • T-Endorsement to be obtained by the end of the campaign for potential transfer to doubles division

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Must pass a DOT physical examination
