Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of hospital equipment and systems, including pneumatic tube systems, nurse call systems, and electrical and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance trades and be able to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within schedule guidelines
  • Maintain and repair hospital systems and equipment, including pneumatic tube systems, nurse call systems, electrical and plumbing systems, internal fire systems, and similar items
  • Respond promptly to calls for emergency service
  • Test new and repaired equipment before putting into service
  • Apply general knowledge of HVAC controls, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Initiate requisitions for repair parts
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner in accordance with FHS standards and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of recent related building maintenance work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
  • Vocational training in building maintenance trades is preferred
