Phlebotomy Specialist

As a Phlebotomist I at LifeBridge Health, you will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages using age-appropriate venipuncture and micro-collection techniques. Your primary goal is to ensure that adequate and correct test samples are collected and transported to the laboratory for analysis.
You will interact with physicians' offices and hospital associates to communicate test results both verbally and electronically. In addition, you will function as the front office for the laboratory, registering patients and ordering tests as needed. Phlebotomists with greater than three months of experience will also be responsible for precepting students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Ensure accurate and timely test sample collection and transportation
- Communicate test results to physicians' offices and hospital associates
- Function as the front office for the laboratory, registering patients and ordering tests
- Precept students with greater than three months of experience
Requirements:
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy program within 6 months of hire
- Less than 2 years of experience required
- ASCP PBT - Phlebotomist certification
- CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider certification
