Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is a vital healthcare professional responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care.

This role is based on-site in Peoria and requires bilingual Spanish/English skills (written and spoken). The Medical Assistant will work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and outpatient care centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with patients and others.
  • Promote collaboration within the facility to improve patient access and outcomes.
  • Assist with orientation and training of new team members.
  • Maintain documentation of patient care services and procedures.
  • Provide effective communication links between patients and medical staff.
  • Process outgoing referrals and ensure necessary documents are available.
  • Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and restock supplies.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
