Job Summary

The Peer Specialist will engage and support individuals and their families in pursuit of recovery and related goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals and their families
  • Develop and implement skills training programs
  • Connect individuals with community resources and services
  • Conduct home and community-based interventions
  • Maintain communication with referring courts and organizations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field highly preferred
  • One year related experience if no Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Personal Recovery experience
  • Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model
  • Must complete background checks as required by Aspire Indiana's policies
  • Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License
  • Must be able to provide Aspire Indiana with current auto insurance upon hire
  • Must have a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
