Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Specialist will engage and support individuals and their families in pursuit of recovery and related goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide peer support and guidance to individuals and their families
- Develop and implement skills training programs
- Connect individuals with community resources and services
- Conduct home and community-based interventions
- Maintain communication with referring courts and organizations
- High School Diploma required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field highly preferred
- One year related experience if no Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Personal Recovery experience
- Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model
- Must complete background checks as required by Aspire Indiana's policies
- Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License
- Must be able to provide Aspire Indiana with current auto insurance upon hire
- Must have a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
