About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Spoko Fuel Airway Heights. This part-time, non-exempt position involves working flexible shifts, including all days of the week and hours, holidays, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide top-notch customer service to all patrons while adhering to SPOKANE TRIBE-SPOKANE RESERVATION policies and procedures.
  2. Accurately process sales transactions using cash registers and other equipment.
  3. Operate a cash register by scanning merchandise UPCs to display retail pricing on the display monitor.
  4. Enter sales transactions into the cash register and process payment types, ensuring accurate funds are accounted for.
  5. Review customer credit cards and identification via established SPOKANE TRIBE-SPOKANE RESERVATION policies and procedures, obtaining electronic authorization for all charges as required.
  6. Issue sale receipts to customers and count back correct change for all cash-paying customers.
  7. Conduct daily tasks and cleaning duties as instructed by management, stocking and merchandising products accordingly.
  8. Document unit inventory counts of tobacco products and cash register counts at the beginning and end of every shift.
  9. Identify and resolve customer needs, complaints, and problems effectively.
  10. Maintain safety protocols and adhere to established safety standards, wearing required safety equipment as needed.
  11. Verify age for patrons purchasing alcohol or tobacco products, inputting date of birth into the cash register as necessary.
  12. Verify identification for Tribal and Inter-Tribal individuals requesting discounts, documenting information in relevant logs.
