Pharmacovigilance Specialist Job Description

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data analytics to drive timely and informed decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain reporting databases and analytics applications in various environments, including Excel, Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects.
  • Leverage internal data systems and tools to efficiently maintain data and reporting processes, minimizing manual data retrieval.
  • Collaborate with the validation team to create validation test scripts, validation plans, and validation summary reports.
  • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative research projects by analyzing data trends from cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to aggregate and analyze data, making actionable recommendations and answering key business questions.
  • Run and maintain reports on activities, outcomes, and deliver presentations to the management team on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Collect data for monthly reports and quarterly reviews on activities, outcomes, and trends of the Advisor team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the constantly changing landscape of the healthcare industry and its impact on our analytical programs and reporting mechanisms.
Requirements:
  • Life Sciences, Information, or similar background (Bachelors, Masters)
  • 5 years of experience in Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance
  • Advanced skills in Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects
  • Databases (Postgres, Oracle, MS Access, Impala, SharePoint List, etc.)
  • Programming languages (SQL, VBA, Python, etc.)
  • Reporting platforms and services (Cognos, SAP-Business Objects, Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of commercial coding dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO Drug)
  • Knowledge of taxonomies, ontologies, and other knowledge management constructs
  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Validation processes and associated documentation
