RN Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Lab team at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph. As a RN Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, utilizing the framework of the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients.

• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and angioplasties.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient goals and preferences.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale required within 90 days of hire.

This is a full-time position working 10-hour shifts, with variable on-call responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday through Friday, with occasional variable weekends.
