Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the delivery of infrastructure that meets current and future requirements, enabling customer-facing and enterprise products/platforms.
  • Research, analyze, design, create, and implement systems to meet business needs, leveraging current and leading-edge technologies.
  • Provide solutions that serve our business, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Collaborate with business, technology leaders, architects, and engineers to engineer modern solutions and automation.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform Enterprise, Vault Enterprise, Ansible, and Ansible Tower.
  • Design and engineer high-performing infrastructure components that are standards-based, highly available, and secured.
  • Provide technical expertise, oversight, standardization, and validation of hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Research and recommend tools, software, applications, and systems for attaining best-in-class IT technology.
  • Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on existing and planned architectures.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification.
  • 7+ years' experience in technology infrastructure application delivery (operations) with database platforms, high availability design implementations, Agile/DevOps methodologies, Kubernetes, cloud technology, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, PowerShell, and UNIX scripting languages.
  • Ability to independently research and recommend tools, software, applications, and systems.
  • Ability to drive an idea or concept to an actual solution with significant autonomy.
  • Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate with project teams, IT management, and non-technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with observability tooling, security tool integration, and DevOps tooling.
  • Cloud certifications and ITIL V4 foundation certification.
