Position Overview:

The Telecommunications Underground Laborer will be responsible for various labor tasks associated with telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor. Previous experience in telecommunications or construction is advantageous. A Class A CDL License is preferred.

Location:
This role will primarily operate from our designated locations in Oregon, with additional opportunities available across multiple offices in the region.

Compensation:
Pay range is DOE:
$22-28 per hour for entry-level laborers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage in all aspects of underground construction, including but not limited to:
   a. Loading, driving, and delivering materials
   b. Digging and removing various construction materials
   c. Installing and maintaining underground telecommunications cabling
2. Operate or work in proximity to heavy machinery and equipment.
3. Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and ensure safe coordination of movements.
4. Execute general construction tasks under the guidance of the Foreman/Supervisor.
5. Participate in flagging and restoration of work sites.
6. Uphold safe working practices in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a Class C Regular Driver's License; Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
2. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, DOT medical certification, and background check.
3. Basic understanding of utility trucks and equipment operation.
4. Proficient in using hand tools safely.
5. Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
6. Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
7. At least 6 months of experience in the utility construction industry.
8. Ability to read and interpret utility maps and prints.

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be capable of performing physical tasks for at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with potential overtime.
2. Duties will involve standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs as necessary.
3. Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
