About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Specialist to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with our vehicles, using your technical expertise to identify and resolve problems.
  • Assist with mobile emergency services and respond to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided).
  • Mechanic's tool set and ability to work independently.
  • ASE testing and certification a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate ($34.60 or $37.75 per hour, depending on experience).
  • ASE incentive of $0.20-$0.25 per hour for each relevant ASE obtained.
  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM full-time shift.
  • Annual tool allowance and boot allowance.
  • Prescription safety glasses and annual allowances for boots and prescription safety glasses.
