We are a prominent and well-established pet hotel, dedicated to providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. We are seeking passionate individuals who share our commitment to ensuring the highest standards of service for our overnight guests and Doggie Daycare attendees.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with animals of various sizes and breeds, demonstrating flexibility in their schedule to accommodate overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Our overnight hours are from 6 PM to 6 AM, with daytime hours varying based on pet transportation schedules. Flexibility is essential as we operate 24/7, 365 days a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding pets according to specific dietary needs.
- Maintaining cleanliness by washing bedding, dishes, and ensuring sanitation of the facility.
- Walking dogs and closely monitoring their eating and behavior.
- Transporting pets to and from the airport for their flights.
- Providing excellent customer service by checking in and out clients, updating records, and responding to inquiries.
Requirements:
- Previous experience (minimum of 6 months) in a veterinary clinic, animal boarding facility, or animal shelter is mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required for driving the company van.
- Strong communication and client service skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs and work irregular hours.
- Must not have allergies to dogs, cats, or rabbits.
Physical Requirements:
- Dependable attendance is crucial.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach throughout a minimum 10-hour shift.
- Capability to maintain accurate records and follow written instructions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
