About the Role

Covenant Living is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas, following established schedules and departmental standards.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks, including light bulb replacement, toilet plunging, and battery changes.
  • Maintain all floors, including sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing.
  • Assist in cleaning emergency spills and perform project cleaning as assigned.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from collection points and transport to dumpster/trash pick-up areas.
  • Deep clean rooms/units as needed, in accordance with department standards.
  • Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves.
  • Participate in the campus linen program, including distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing for pick-up.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report any need for repair.
  • Observe and report any need for repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
  • Participate in receiving campus supplies, deliveries, and putting away as needed.
  • Participate in campus snow and ice salting as needed.
Requirements
  • Some high school education.
  • Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
  • Dependability and common sense, with the ability to organize daily cleaning schedules.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures.
