PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our team in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for diagnosing and treating diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and report all test analyses according to physician orders in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, AABB, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO regulations.
- Process and analyze blood samples, including specimen processing, test performance, and maintenance of test results.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, using professional judgment to resolve complex laboratory issues.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations and maintain high-quality patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related science.
- ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
- Current certification maintenance, if certified after 2004.
- Minimum one year of clinical laboratory experience, preferred.
