Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing patient exams with the highest degree of skill, utilizing radiographic, fluoroscopic, mammography, and processing equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed equipment
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic mobile equipment
  • Operate mammography equipment
  • Produce expected levels of production at reasonable rates of speed and on schedule
  • Prepare and maintain QC, licensure, and accreditation documentation
  • Utilize radiation protection/shielding procedures for patients and staff
  • Attend to the physical safety of patients and staff
  • Assure all areas are clean and orderly and supplies are maintained for all exams and procedures
  • Provide services to patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Cooperate and promote team efforts with co-workers and members of the hospital staff
  • Utilize departmental and hospital information systems as necessary for patient care
  • Exercise initiative and actively participate in the reception area, film library, and transport functions
  • Maintain required continuing education credits
  • Provide patient care appropriately to the following age groups:
    • Neonate – Birth to 1 month
    • Infant – 1 month – 1 year
    • Early childhood – 1 yr. – 5 yrs.
    • Late Childhood - 8 yrs – 12 yrs.
    • Adolescence - 13 yrs. – 17 yrs.
    • Young Adult - 18 yrs. – 25 yrs.
    • Adult - 26 yrs. – 54 yrs.
    • Sr. Adult - 55 yrs. – 64 yrs.
    • Geriatric - 64 yrs. - above

Requirements:

  • Completion of an Associate's Degree or Certificate from a recognized Echocardiography Program or the equivalent knowledge and experience
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • RDCS (AE or PE) certification by the ARDMS
  • 1-2 years clinical and/or professional experience required
  • Experience with both adults and pediatrics is preferred
