The role of Controls Engineer involves the comprehensive design, upkeep, configuration, and enhancement of site instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
Location: Champaign, IL - Candidates should reside within a one-hour commute to the area.
Eligibility: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply conventional electrical engineering principles to the assigned functional area.
- Utilize independent judgment for the evaluation, selection, and significant adaptation of standard techniques and procedures.
- Engage collaboratively with various engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors from the initial design phase through to the operational start-up.
- Design, program, and provide start-up support for HMI, PLC, and Servo Motors tailored for industrial applications.
- Develop complete control systems for diverse industrial clients, including:
- Electrical schematics
- Control panels
- Instrumentation
- Motor control centers
- PLC/HMI hardware and software
- Conduct PLC/HMI programming and start-up procedures.
- Address complex challenges, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination needs.
- Act as a liaison among clients, subcontractors, and design teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to achieve registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
