Parks Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parks Maintenance Worker to join our team at Tillamook County, OR. As a key member of our parks maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing manual labor duties associated with parks maintenance, including cleaning restrooms, performing basic grounds-keeping duties, and maintaining camping areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and stock supplies.
  • Perform basic grounds-keeping duties, such as lawn mowing, trimming branches, and cutting brush.
  • Maintain camping areas, collect garbage, and repair tables and other equipment.
  • Respond to general inquiries from the public and inform guests of park rules.
Requirements:
  • Skill in the operation of hand tools and lawnmowers.
  • Skill in the operation of a light pickup truck.
  • Able to perform continuous manual labor, including frequent bending, walking, manipulation of equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with others.
  • Ability to work out-of-doors in inclement weather.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
