Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in Yakima. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all patients.
  • Continuously assess patient needs and report changes to supervisors and physicians as necessary, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Takes appropriate action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes, promoting positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention, implementing proactive measures to prevent risk or reduce harm.
  • Maintain accountability for personal and professional actions, adhering to Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide care while adhering to infection control measures that protect both staff and patients according to OSHA standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Ability to sit and climb stairs.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Strong sense of smell and touch.
  • Ability to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
  • Ability to respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport.
Estimated Salary: $42 - $48 per hour
