Strategic Planner

The Garrett Group is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planner to support USSTRATCOM in preparing and staffing various Joint Assessments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing critical analyses of Joint Staff and OSD products for USSTRATCOM leadership.

• Prepare and staff Joint Assessments, including the Annual Joint Assessment (AJA), Chairman's Risk Assessment (CRA), Risk Mitigation Plan (RMP), and Joint Military Net Assessment (JMNA).
• Provide senior leaders with expert analysis on Joint Staff and OSD products, such as the Chairman's Risk Assessment and Joint Military Net Assessment.
• Conduct data calls within the staff, facilitate liaison activities between Command and Joint Staff, and prepare staff packages for coordination.
• Collaborate with key personnel to ensure the adequacy and completeness of products, adjudicate identified issues, and revise content as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 7+ years of CCMD experience.
• Experience with the Joint Strategic Planning System.
• A strong background in political science or international relations from a geopolitical perspective, with a firm grasp of strategic and military risk.
• Three plus years of experience as an action officer, with knowledge of Joint Staff and CCMD planning, staffing, and tasking processes.
• DoD operational and strategic assessment experience, or experience conducting mission analysis, developing objectives, effects/measures of effectiveness, tasks/measures of performance, and indicators.
• Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.

The estimated salary for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
