Job Summary

The Operator - Heavy Equipment is a critical role within our recycling centers, landfills, and transfer stations. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, using proper safety standards.
  • Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Perform minor service on equipment and document any necessary repairs.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
