Gables Search Group is seeking a highly skilled Machine Assembly Technician to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building machines, equipment, and their subassemblies, following mechanical layouts and general assembly layouts, and adhering to written and verbal specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Build and assemble machines, equipment, and subassemblies, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
- Recognize and address design and part problems, taking corrective actions to ensure optimal performance.
- Recommend improvements to products and processes, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Perform prototype work with limited engineering and supervision, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
- Lead training sessions for new employees, actively participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop special tooling capabilities, assisting in machine setups in the field.
- Produce high-quality work, meeting or exceeding expectations of Team Lead and Group Lead.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 3-5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment.
