Research Opportunities:
Cornell University's Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics invites applications for two Postdoctoral Associate positions in the Nwosu Lab. The successful candidates will contribute to a multidisciplinary research project investigating the role of GSH in pancreatic cancer.
The project involves the use of cell lines and mouse models to mechanistically determine how GSH promotes cancer and the effect of targeting the GSH pathway on tumor growth. The postdocs will apply various methods, including cell culture, gene interference, biochemical assays, and pharmacological compound testing.
Applicants should have a PhD in molecular biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, tumor immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field. Experience in cell culture, cloning/molecular techniques, and mouse work is necessary. Cancer research and bioinformatics analysis experience is desirable.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate scholarly work experience, as evidenced by prior grant/fellowship applications or awards, conference presentations, and publications.
