We are currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist to join our Retail Lending Department in Lima, Ohio. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation and processing of residential real estate loans while adhering to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mortgage loan applications and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare loan documentation, finalize new mortgage accounts, and ensure proper entry into the system.
- Request necessary verifications and organize files for credit evaluations.
- Thoroughly review all final documents: Confirm that signatures are complete and notarized where required, and verify that all essential documents are present and uploaded for review.
- Track and obtain any outstanding documents for loan files promptly.
- Document all loan policy exceptions appropriately on the exception report.
- Oversee and manage all servicing functions related to loans from initiation to final payment.
- Prepare mortgage loan releases, modification agreements, and related documentation.
- Process escrow disbursements for repairs and insurance claims on held funds.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; prior experience in administrative roles, customer service, and proficiency in Word and Excel is preferred. A minimum of two years of loan processing experience is ideal.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong keyboarding skills are essential.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a keen attention to detail.
