Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. As a Comprehensive Eye Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams to screen for refractive errors and eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular degeneration.
  • Refer patients to subspecialty clinics as needed.
  • Perform dilated fundoscopy.
  • Manage eye disorders as part of the eye service team.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed.
  • Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
  • Provide pre-and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the privacy and security rules outlined in the HIPAA guidelines.
  • Adhere to and conform to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Function under the direction of the Department of Ophthalmology.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
  • 1 year of residency (Recommended but not required)
  • New York State License
