Department: Cardiovascular Unit
Shift Schedule: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours, Monday to Friday, 3 days of 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
The Medical/Surgical Neurovascular/Renal Unit comprises 38 beds, with no drip titrations required. Blood specimens are collected by the lab, and while RNs initiate IVs, an IV team is available for additional assistance. EKGs are not performed, nor are sheaths discontinued. The unit features telemetry with remote monitoring capabilities. Staff members are required to wear Ceil Blue scrubs and utilize Cerner OneChart. This is a teaching hospital, and staff may be required to float between three hospitals and one rehabilitation facility.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee patient care plans, ensuring effective monitoring, recording, and communication of patient conditions as necessary.
- Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
- Document and execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Evaluate and coordinate the discharge planning needs of patients in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Required Skills: Traveler Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical settings.
