We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraeducator to join our team at Clintonville Elementary School. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities in the R.I.S.E. (ILS) Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Special Education Teachers: Collaborate with special education teachers and related service staff providers to maintain effective instructional programs for students with disabilities.
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students with communication, sensory, learning, and behavioral challenges under the direction of certified staff.
  • Implement Instructional Strategies: Use a variety of instructional and social/emotional strategies across all settings, including general education classrooms, self-contained classrooms, resource classrooms, community settings, and non-instructional settings.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Collect behavioral, academic, social, and communication data using charts, graphs, or tables.
  • Provide Learner Independence: Implement proactive behavior strategies, provide learner independence, and understand the impact of fading and prompting techniques.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively communicate with teachers and other service providers as a team member.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, sitting, and talking or hearing. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma and Pass ParaPro Test by November 1, 2024; or Associate's Degree.
  • Experience: Prefer experience working with children with disabilities and using technology (i.e. Google).
  • Skills: Read and understand the basic elements of an IEP, schedules, and other support plans.
Work Environment

The work environment is quiet to loud depending on the activity in the particular part of the day.
