Job Summary:

The Mold Mechanic Lead will be responsible for leading the effort to maximize output, quality, and efficiency in our toolroom. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as hands-on experience with injection molding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the toolroom team to ensure best practices are followed and quality work is delivered
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review mold design practices and sampling of new products
  • Troubleshoot and repair molds as needed
  • Manage discretionary spending and propose cost-saving improvements
  • Ensure strong communication with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on tooling inventory and project progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in injection molding toolroom or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven mechanical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift driving training and certification required
  • Lock Out/Tag Out training and certification required

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is estimated at $35.00 per hour, based on national averages for similar roles in the United States. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
