Dishwasher Position

The Barcelona Wine Bar is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all cutlery, glassware, food machines, and other kitchen equipment. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and clean all dirty dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen items into the dishwasher.
  • Ensure that the water in the dishwasher is drained on a regular basis.
  • Remove trash and garbage from the restaurant and dispose of it in the dumpster.
  • Roll and unroll mats in preparation for floor cleaning.

Working Conditions:
  • Be able to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, and constantly move around in one area.
  • Be able to stand for the entirety of a scheduled shift.
  • Be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds.
  • Be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Be able to multitask and adapt to the high volume of the restaurant.
  • Be able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time.

Education/Experience:
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is a plus.
