About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intake Shift Supervisor to join our team at Parkwood Behavioral Health System. As a key member of our assessment department, you will be responsible for leading the efforts of our team in the absence of the department director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide telephone and walk-in risk assessment and crisis intervention services.
  • Initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, including coordination of the referral and intake process.
  • Determine the appropriate level of care for each patient.
  • Facilitate the admission process, including insurance pre-certification.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Prior experience in intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management.
